How to help neighbors with yardwork

First Things First
Like all good acts of service, it's crucial to communicate with who you are trying to help. Ask around your neighborhood for anyone who needs work, using the app NextDoor is a good way to do this, leaving notes for neighbors is also wise in times of social distancing.
How to Mow a Lawn
For many people, mowing lawns is now significantly harder due to landscaping companies temporarily closing. So, being able to mow lawns will be essential to helping neighbors with yard work. If your family doesn't own a mower, ask around the neighborhood or close friends if you could borrow theirs (offer to pay for the gas too)! Once you have a mower, here's a good resource on how to properly use it.

Helping with a Garden
For other neighbors, they may need help with maintaining their garden. This can come from laying mulch, pulling weeds, watering flowers, and more, which are all great ways to help your community through service.
